sunbathing was ranked the #2 pastime with swimming being more popular. This study conducted by Longwoods International
rated sunbathing six times more popular than golfing, bicycling, or power boating and over twice as popular as fishing
or hiking. Even today, sunbathing is as popular as ever as well as tanning due to the numerous tanning salons nationwide.
Surveying hundreds of people, we asked the question, "Have you ever experienced a severe sunburn on your back because
you couldn't cover your entire back with sunscreen?" Almost everyone responded with having that experience at least
once in his or her lifetime. The second most popular response was "especially if you are alone, it is almost impossible
to reach your entire back for complete coverage." The third most popular response was people's concern about the alarming
increase of skin cancer reports.
